The 2013 Annual Conference was held at the Senshu University, Kanagawa, Japan, October 5-6 on Cataclysm of Global Economy and Future of Capitalism.
The 2012 Annual Conference was held at the Ehime University, in Matsuyama, Japan, October 6-7 on The Great East Japan Earthquake and the Nuclear Disaster, and Research Agenda of Political Economy.

The 2008 Annual Conference was held at Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan, Saturday 25th until Sunday 26th October on Subprime Shock and the Future of Global Capitalism.
The 2007 Annual Conference
was held at Yokohama National University, Yokohama, Saturday 20th until Sunday 21st October on How Do We Consider "Society with Increasing Inequality"?. With this theme, we intended to analyse what are the essential elements of our "society with increasing inequality" and what are main factors to cause inequality, and we try to propose policies to solve the problem of our society.
The 2006 Annual Conference was held on Saturday October 21 and Sunday 22 2006, at the Kurumamichi Campus of Aichi University, Nagoya. As stated above, the theme of the plenary session in this conference was: Transfigurations and Pathology of Contemporary Corporate Capital. Under this theme, we intended to seek analyses of the new pathological trends stemming from financial strategies that contemporary corporations and investors increasingly tend to adopt.
The 2005 annual conference was held on Saturday October 15 and Sunday 16 2005, at the Itabashi Campus of Daito-Bunka University, Tokyo. The topic for the plenary session in this conference was Neo-liberalism and the Crisis of Contemporary Society, intended as a sequel to its 2004 counterpart, which was The Market Today ? What Economics Understands by That Term. It is hoped that the new theme will build on the critique of market fundamentalism debated with much heat last year at the JSPE 52nd annual conference at Osaka University of Economics, so that we may finally come to grips with the real nature of the neo-liberal ideology that underpins the crisis of present-day society, in both historical and theoretical light.
The 2004 annual conference was held on October 23-24, 2004 at Osaka University of Economics, Osaka , Japan. The topic of the plenary session was Contemporary Market Economy and Political Economy.
The 2003 annual conference was held on October 18 -19, 2003 at Musashi University, Tokyo , Japan. The topic for the plenary session in this conference was Political Economy Now - A Marxian Reappraisal.
